My interview with Jordyn consisted of an interview sheet that I had her complete.What is your full name????, was the first question.  And her answer was JORDYN MIKAELA SCOTT.   Jordyn has 4 siblings!!!  Two younger brothers and two older sisters, therfore she is a middle child!  They say middle children are very independant.   Jordyn likes to dance and likes to run.  That is about it for her and sports.  As far as hobbies go, Jordyn likes to make things and she is interested in sign language.  She wants to learn all she can about sign language. Her favorite movies are Mary Poppins and the Harry Potter series. The funny thing she told me about herself is people think she sounds canadian!  When Jordyn grows up, she wants to be an interpreter and an English teacher in a Deaf school.  Jordayn is a very cool! person.  She is always smiling, happy and kind to everyone.  I feel lucky to have met her.

Pirates of the Caribbean- At Stranger Tides

Last night my family and I went to go see Pirates of the Caribbean. I personally thought it was the best one out of the series. My dad never really likes the other ones but he liked this one the best too because he thought it was not as gross and had a better story plot. I agreed 100% with him. An interesting part in this movie was the scene with Mermaids. At first they were sweet and nice but then they turned feisty and tried to kill the crew. In the end the movie was very interesting but one of my absolute favorite movies.

Jim Tressell Resigns

My dad woke me up this morning and to tell me that Jim Tressell resigned from being Ohio State`s Football coach. I can not believe it. Jim Tressell is my favorite. My dad and I are huge Ohio State Football fans. This is not a good day for Ohio State University. My dad predicted this would happen. Obviously there was more to the story than they let us know. How could this have gone so wrong? I wonder if this will affect recruits. And will Ohio State Football games ever be the same?

   So what would be the advantage of forcing people to take vaccinations?  The problem is that if we don't have vaccinations or if kids don't have vaccinations then all types of diseases would spread.  As humans we basically use to get all types of diseases such as measles and mumps.  Vaccincations have stopped the spread of diseases.  Why would we go backwards?  So I totally agree that vaccinations are a must.  And I agree that the kid needs it to go to school!!

drivng

Well, I have not started the process to get my driver's license.  I am hoping to get my permit as soon as school is out!  So far I haven't felt the urge and need to have my license.  I ;am not really afraid to drive just a tad nervous,  I think most people are nervous at first.  I was nervous the first time I drove a golf cart.  Now, it just seems natural.  My other concern is mom and dad being "back seat" drivers.  Sometimes I want to just scream "let me just do it",  I know they mean well.  And, sometimes my mind just screams get me out of this car.  I have been backing out of the garage and into the garage and around the driveway.  It is ok.  I bet if I had to because of an emergency, I could drive on the road.  I kind of have the feel of the car.  Time will tell with all of this.  And, there is always the dream of my own car.  Sometimes I wish I could have a motorcycle.  Bust as for a car, I would probably pick a hummer or a jeep painted camouflage.

exam time

I really do not like this time of the year...school year that is.  Well it is the exams and finishing all the projects.  Personally I do not like to be pressured and wow do I feel pressure now!    I do not like time limits, like when I know that I have to study and there is no time for just goofing off, or doing whatever.  Mom says this will prepare me for the "real world".... well right now I am not eager for the real world.  This is a big enough job studying and getting grades.   So I am just hitting the hay..... after a few hours of flash cards and study sheets.  Hoping for a good day tomorrow.

   I am surprised in this day that the people did not have more time to prepare.  I am surprised that the news and weather radar can not alert the people earlier.  This is a major problem and rather scary to know that this happened to people.  Afterall it could have been us here in Worthington, Ohio.  What would you do if you had 17 mins. to prepare for a tornado.   I would have been trying to find  a place surrounded by cinder blocks. Something really sturdy..... wow it is really strange to think about.  Go set a timer for 17 mins. and see how fast that time goes by.  It gives you the willy's.

My sister Victoria

    My sister, Victoria is two years younger than me.  She is a dancer at Revolution Dance in Powell, Ohio.  She loves dance and drives us crazy about it.  Personally, I don't understand why she likes to go to dance all the time!  She practices for hours and hours.  Then in the spring she competes against other dancers both as a solo dancer and in group dances.  The competitions are in various places, like Vets Memorial or the Convention Center, this year one was at the Aladdin Shrine and Palace Theatre as well.
    I usually go with my dad.  Mom is already there with sis. Sometimes I like to watch but most of the time I am bored out of my min;d.  I take my ipod and get lost in my games.  I may be there in person but my mind is out in San Francisco playing Cause of Death.  In this game I am detective Mal Fallon tracking down serial killers.  It takes place all over San Francisco  In the first episode I am tracking a sociopath who is killing young women.   He gets knocked off by being shot in the chest with a flare gun. He is out at Alcatraz when he is shot.  It is cool cause I visited Alcatraz with my family two years ago!
   About the time I blast this dude into outer space my sis is done and we  (dad and I) get freedom!!!!
I do really love my sis even tho she is a pain about  dance.  She frealks if she thinks she is going to be late even one minutes to practice!!!  Wow! it can be alot of drama, you can say that again!!!
  

my cats

My cats are the best......
We have 3 cats, 2 male and 1 female.
Scarlet was the first cat, we got here when I was just 2.... so she is about 14 years old.  Then we
found Sinatra when I was about 6  so he is about 15 years old.  He is one cool cat!!!  He has become
the best buddy for all of us.  He sits at our kitchen island on a stool and waits for us to give him snacks and acts like he is in on our conversations!!!  He is like a human.   Then last summer on a walk we found another male cat that we named Zorro!!  He has won everyones heart.
I almost forgot to mention the cat my mom had when I got here..... Salt an all white cat just like Sinatra.  Only Salt had yellow eyes and Sinatra has blue eyes.  Salt died when I was about 3, he got feline lukemia.

Finally, Sinatra and Zorro have become friends.

peacocks

PEACOCKS!!!!!   we were on our way home from dinner Sunday night and look what we saw at the side of the road......  it was amazing!  Mom made dad pull around and go back so we could get out of the car and check these beauties out.  Thanks to mom we got some great pidtures.   There were about ten in all an two were all white.  So are they male or female or just a different breed of peacock? 

There was a lady who stopped beside us, she wanted to know what these were,  I couldn't believe she didn't know what a peacock looked like!!   Anyway, made my night, just wish we could have gotten closer......

usher

     "OMG"    Oh My Gosh!!!!!    I have never seen so many women excited about a man's naked chest!!!!  That would be the Usher concert.  Mom and DAd took us as a birthday present.... and it was a great concert.  Asamatter of fact it was awesome, with all the people shooting and screaming.  Akon was the opening band and he was actually just as good as Usher, anyway that is what i thought.  Some parts were better than others.  He started out coming in ona a flating stage, and his first song was good. Then he went back to someof his older material.  It was okay my sister really liked the dancer, I have to admit that thye were really good, and thier costumes were awesome.  His grand finale was the best part, he sang OMG and the stage looked really cool and they blew confetti out into the audience.  What a night!!!          

dream act

Well i've been hearing alot about this topic and i think that this big topic is crazy. The dream act has been attempted numerous times. What i am saying is that these people should not come in to the United States illegally.  If it is illegal then it is against the law.  So, you would be up to face criminal charges if you do something illegal or break the law.  It is the same for these people, they are illegal. So, they are breaking our laws.  The United States of American is our home, the citizens of this country's home.  They- are breaking into our homeland to start a life without going through the proper channels.  So I say,go home or do what is right!

WOW for Me!!

My MOM is having a great Mother's Day!!!  I did two things yesterday to help her day be more special, actually 3 if you count the presents.  I recieved my Black Belt (mom helped alot over the years with all the poomse's and memorization)... that is one great thing.  Then we got home yesterday and in the mail I received a letter form Kilbourne High School.  Next Friday I am being inducted into the Socratic Society!!  Mr. Baird my engineering teacher nominated.... I had no idea this was happening.  So that was the second time I made mom cry yesterday!!!  She always cries (she says with joy) about stuff like that.
I think she really liked her gifts too, mom loves to garden and likes flowers so we got her a bunch of stuff from Proper Garden!!  She is a smiling MOM right now.

black belt

    WOW!!!  i am a 3rd degree Black Belt.  Yesterday was my graduation it was a great day.  My grandparents, aunt and uncle, Mom and Dad and my mom's longtime great friend (who i call Aunt Cindy)were all there!!!  After the graduationwe went to the House of Japan to east dinner and celebrate!!!  I have been doing Taekwondo for along time over 10 years now.  I am so relieved that I am now a Black Belt. 
    Master Boles gave us speech at graduation.  He told us that we should feel like we are now apart of the family of our dojong,.  My completion yesterday was not really about my belt or uniform but it is about what is in my heart. That is what truely matters.  He talked to usabout the meaning of Taekwondo and how it is a basic way of life for us. Actually the "Do" of Taekwondo means life.  We choose our own paths in life sometimes easy and sometimes not so easy.  He said don't worry about the work we do but how we continue to go on perfecting what we do in and out of the dojong.  I know this because of my years and years of training.  I try to follow the tenets of Taekwondo always.

 

general petraeus

   The first thing I know about General David Petraeus is that he went to West Point with one of my dads friends!!  Dr. Jess Gillig and his wife are my mom and dads really good friends and Jess graduated West point with General Petraeus.  Jess says he is a very nice guy and an amazing soldier and army general!
   He is a united States Army general who serves as the current Commander, International Security Assistance Force (ISAF).
   He visited Pakistan this past Monday and talked with their army chief on ways to boost security.  He visited Pakistan to spend time with Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, Pakistan's chief of army staff.  This was Petraeus 6th visit to Pakistan as the NATO commander of ISAF to try and help.  He has long established relations with Pakistan's army staff and has worked with them alot.  On Saturday Kayani says his forces have inflicted deep wounds on the Al-Qaeda forces.  He took criticism from the United States for some of the attack. Kayani says that the terrorists backbone has been broken and God willing we will prevail.  He made this speech after the attacks at a parade at an army academy celebration.

matt damon and gary white

    Wow, i knew Matt Damon was famous but this is amazing. Now this is something i've never heard of before. What I'm talking about is the top 100 most influential people list. Here is apparently how he got on the list. Matt was recognized for raising awareness about clean water and sanitation for kids.  Matt Damon and Gary White co-founded Water.org.  They merged their two companies H2O Africa and Water Partners to create Water.org.  They are seeking around the world to make sure people have safe access to clean water.  Water.org says the global water crisis affects more than 2 billion people.  Times list of 100 most influential people list Matt and Gary on the list.  What an accomplishment for them.  Time says White and Damons message is one of hope and that their solutions for finding clean water are simple and cost effective
   I have always like Matt Damon from the Jason Bourne series of movies.  I knew he was a great actor but this just blows my mind.  He is a cool person to care.

Austrian authorities reveal find of buried treasure/Associated Press 4/24/2011

Mr. Jan reported from Vienna that a man turning dirt in his back yard stumbled onto buried treasure.  What a lucky guy.  Here I am in Ohio trying to find stuff... and this lucky guy ends up finding all these jewels and other valuables (more that 200) in a trove.  The luck.  The guy was building a pond in his back yard when he dug up the jewels.  This was about 2 years ago.  He did not report the find then.  Then when he was cleaning his basement to sell his home, he found the forgotten valuable again!!!!  Then he reported to the memorials office.  It is described at "one of the qualitatively most significant discoveries on medieval treasuries Austria!!!

easter 2011

Hi everyone,  hope all have had a great 3 day weekend, and a nice and Happy Easter.  Mine started at 6:00 am this morning.  We went to Easter Sunrise Service at our church.  Thank goodness our church is only 10 mins. away, because it started at 7:00 am.  It was a nice service and actually it was kind of shorter than a regular service so I think I would vote for this type of service even if it is so early.  "The Calling" band performed, they are pretty good, winging and guitar.
We got together with family to eat and have fun celebrating the day. My cousin Michelle and her husband Doug had their 10 week old baby here.  Her name is Ellie and she was pretty good.... tends to cry when hungry.
I played my mom a game of Mario cart on the Wii.  Even though  My mom has a bit to learn about video games she had a pretty good time.  Unfortunately, she lost all the games she played. My cousin Riley turned 13 today, so we celebrated his birthday as well.  He and I played games on the Wii as well.

interim

    Hey guys, just wanted to talk about my interim. My interim went great today, it was a really fun. I did my presentation  to my group and Jen. plus I passed around some artifacts that I brought. I brought in a bell pestle, a fort aincent 1.5 inch arrowhead knife, and a triangular arrowhead. during my interim i went to many places like marion ohio, crestline, the interim took me many days and I am glad to share it with you all.  here are some documents to print out, good luck and happy digging!!!

Co2 car2

My co2 car was amazin today. It took me so long but today was finally the day for testing. Nick and i went first. Our race was extremely exciting. We got to watch our cars as well as others collide and crash into each other. Neither nick or i had even a crack on our eggs. My friend cameron was slightly unfortunate, his egg came out of the front panel of his car and splat it broke. This was such a great day and i got an a+!!

co2 car

I have been working tonight on my CO2 car.... it is looking sweet.  I am excited tomorrow is the first day of test runs for our cars.  My car is black and white to resemble a police car.  At this moment I have some wet paint on it, and intend to have it fully ready to go tomorrow to be the best it can be.  I began working on this car shortly after Thanksgiving.  This project started with an IDW and then started creating three D sketches that showed what our car would look like.  I can't believe that my car is a real object now.  i built this car to be the best, precise and perfect in every way!  Tomorrow will be the first show and I sure hope mine does well.

florida....

Wow! what a great spring break, and can you believe it is already over.  A longer break would be cool, but at least it was fun while it lasted. As a family tradition, me, my parents and my danceoholic sister, Victoria headed south to Florida for some fun in the sun.  And this year we just so happened to come at the perfect time, everyday was lots of sun and in the upper 80's except for one.  On that one day we spent time with my grandparents, my grandma collects sharks teeth from all her years at the beach.  She has thousands of them and Victoria and I sifted through them and found some real cool ones that she let us keep.  On the sunny days we went golfing, swimming, and bike riding.  On the golf course we saw a huge alligator, probably about 15 feet long! He was ginormous and just laying in the water on the 16th hole of the golf course. We also saw a big turtle, mom asked Victoria to take a close up picture which really startled him and boy could that turtle run.  Very surprising how fast they can move.  All said this was a great spring break.... but then I always have a good time in Florida.  Maybe someday I will live there!

wow, what an amazing game. Ohio state vs wisconsin for the big ten. JUST AMAZING!!! When I went to see it with my family on sunday it was just so amazing the anxiety was getting me. Though I was a bit paranoid about having to stand in the cold until the employees let us in. after finding my seat in section 221, row E, seat 12, with snacks in hand me and my family waited. we waited an hour and 15 minutes  before the game started. during that  time they presented the players that are graduating this year. after that the lights dimmed as the players emerged from the tunnels onto the court. suddenly fireworks shot out of the hoops and the top of the four screened tv stand hanging over the court. the game was epic, in the end it almost came to a standstill. amazing the buckeyes did it, they have won. confetti shoots out everywhere. the epic battle is over wisconsin"Deal with it".http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0lmElzy80M8
